However, we have found that even with the services of a good removal company, many clients are surprised by how much remains for them to do – and this is where we come in!

For example, when it comes to unpacking, of course removal companies will provide that service if requested. However, generally their unpacking is done to “table top” which literally means taken out of boxes and put onto a surface ready for you to put them away.

In contrast, when we unpack a kitchen, we make sure that everything is put away in the cupboards and organised a way that makes sense, making full use of our organisational skills so that the kitchen is fully functioning and streamlined from day one.

Similarly, when we are unpacking the items in a living room, we are not just taking things out of boxes but we are arranging them in an attractive way. So we are looking at the layout of the furniture, arranging decorative items and accessories, plumping cushions and even hanging pictures if needed, so that your living room is a calm and comfortable place to relax.

While we usually suggest you use the professional services of your removal company for the bulk of your packing, we can also help with packing more personal items, and helping you prepare a “last out first in” box for the day of the move.

On move day we can be there with you to help with any last minute jobs and then travel to your new home to await the arrival of the removal vans and start the process of settling you in.

Unpacking and Home Set Up: Turning Your House into a Home

Arriving at your new home should be an exciting experience, not a source of stress. Our unpacking and home set-up services are designed to ease the transition, allowing you to settle in and get on with enjoying your new home.

As described above, we go the extra mile by organizing your belongings as we unpack and arranging your space to reflect your unique style and preferences.

We can take care of all the little details, like making up your bed for your first nights sleep, putting clothes away in wardrobes, and sorting out your linen cupboard. We’ll even hang pictures and arrange your bookshelves.  And as we unpack we will fold down the boxes ready for collection by the removal company.
